On the day of the test, I was very nervous, and then begun the test realizing that we were not being issued calculators for the test--and I was upset about that, as I was anticipating having some questions involving interest calculations--which are much more easily done with the assistance of a calculator. The first questions on the test were really more vocational business (like calculating net typing speed)--nothing that I ever learned in B-school or were necessary for earning a MBA. There were also some questions involving organizations for business education...and some questions that were really dated, technologically. I mean, who uses microforms or modems anymore? Or, rather, why would this information really be important in business education?
Regardless, it turned out that my preparations were sufficient, as I earned a passing score on the exam! Also, it turned out that there were no questions involving interest calculations of any kind, and the few questions requiring calculations were simple enough to completeby hand.
I then turned my attention to my FTCE Professional Education exam, which I signed up to take a week later. More on that exam in my next post...
