My students were really, super good for this class. They seem to really rise to the occasion when it counts (even if they don't know--and our observations weren't pre-announced--which is probably better--so I didn't get nervous beforehand or try to prepare something elaborate). We had a V.I.P. come by last week--and also happened to observe the same group of students. They were angels when he was in my classroom--and I couldn't have scripted the lesson any better than how it went that day! So nice when class goes better than plan! :-)
By the way, I used the Better Chinese curriculum (www.betterchinese.com), the online storybook and associated games and exercises with the interactive whiteboard. It works great with my classes, and was what I used in both classes where I was observed, teaching Pre-K 4 students!
